Keeping Cybersecurity Experts Informed at the Human Level 

The BeaucerCON Cybersecurity Awareness Conference is a virtual event presented by Beauceron Security dedicated to bringing some of the world's top cybersecurity experts and enthusiasts together for an afternoon packed full of inspiring presentations, panelist discussions and Q&A sessions with more surprises to come.

This year's conference will explore the theme of "The Power of People" to better understand the role human beings play in creating a cybersafe culture. Gain actionable insights to bring back to your organization to help empower your teams to be the best first line of defense against cyber attacks.

Dr. Shayla Treadwell

VP, Governance, Risk and Compliance, ECS

Dr. Shayla Treadwell is the Vice President of GRC at ECS, Vice President of ECS’ Cyber Center of Excellence and has a doctorate in business psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her dissertation focused on organizational leadership and examined the correlation between information security and leadership practices. 

Dr. Treadwell is also the co-founder of the Treadwell Agency, a small consulting firm dedicated to advising businesses on digital transformation, strategic planning and IT security.

Bob Gordon

Strategic Advisor, CCTX

Bob Gordon is the Strategic Advisor of the Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange (CCTX) and was the Director of Global Cyber Security at CGI. Bob has enjoyed a long and successful career in the Federal Government, security, intelligence and law enforcement that included leading the CSIS Counter Terrorism program and being the architect of Canada’s first Cyber Security Strategy for which he received the Deputy Minister’s Achievement Award. 

Bob is a member of the Board of Directors for Quantum Safe Canada, a member of the Advisory Council on the Modernization of Microdata Access with Statistics Canada and the Advisory Board for the Master of Cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence program with the University of Guelph.

David Shipley

CEO, Beauceron Security

As CEO and co-founder of Beauceron Security, David Shipley is energized by helping people feel in control of technology.    David’s career has seen him transition from a Canadian Armed Forces officer, to a journalist to a marketing specialist. He ultimately found himself in cybersecurity after he led the incident response team when the university he worked for was hacked in 2012.  

David often speaks on the international stage about cybersecurity awareness, and one of his favorite topics is the importance of returning to the origin of the word “cyber.”  His passion drives him to make people not only aware of cybersecurity risks, but to make them care enough about their role in  to change their  behavior.

Jamie Benoit

Client Relationship Manager, Beauceron Security

Jamie is Beauceron Security's Client Relationship Manager, where she leads the sales and customer success teams, facilitates customer experience strategies and has helped orchestrate a positive cybersecurity culture to organizations across North America. She has led some of the most complex deployments of security awareness programs to some of Canada’s largest institutions across finance, telecommunications, government and healthcare.   

Prior to joining Beauceron Security, Jamie has experience working in Economic Development at both the municipal and provincial levels in New Brunswick where she was responsible for advancing strategic initiatives and managed stakeholder relationships across numerous sectors including cybersecurity, natural resources and arts and culture.

Gillian Jameson

Senior Consultant, Identity & Access Governance, CIBC

Gillian Jameson is currently a Senior Consultant for Identity and Access Governance at CIBC. After spending several years in hospitality, media marketing and sales training, Gillian moved to a new role in Supplier Risk Management with CIBC. This position was the springboard to find the true passion of her work. She found herself developing training material and policies surrounding two crucial elements of banking in this age: cybersecurity and access management.  

Gillian shares her experiences through a high regulation and security awareness lens, bringing an empowering perspective to the panel by advocating for organizations to provide their people with the right tools and training to make the best cybersafe decisions.

Jessica Chang

Senior Technical Program Manager, Vanta

Jessica Chang is a Senior Technical Program Manager at Vanta, where she focuses on Security & Enterprise Engineering. Prior to Vanta, she was a Senior Behavioral Engineer for Security & Privacy Engineering at Robinhood, where she advised product and engineering teams on trust & safety product abuse risks and incorporated behavioral science principles toward user adoption of positive security, privacy and safety behaviors.  

Jessica has presented talks for global security conferences and groups, peer companies, and federally-funded research centers and has also led key company initiatives in trust and security engineering as a Tech Lead at Dropbox. She holds degrees from Yale, The Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music, maintains a dual career as a professional musician, and is passionate about building communities through her work.

Ian MacMillan

Chief Evangelist & Co-Founder, Beauceron Security

As our Chief Evangelist, Ian provides advice and expertise on how to build world-class cybersecurity awareness and education programs that engage and motivate employees in organizations of all sizes. Ian helps clients develop initiatives and leverage technologies that deliver meaningful experiences for individuals and measurable impact in the security of their organizations.   

Ian’s professional passion has always been about creating individual-focused experiences. A graphic designer and user experience (UX) architect by trade, Ian has led projects in higher education, at global technology companies and now at Beauceron Security. Ian regularly works with household national and global brands in the development and execution of their cybersecurity awareness and education efforts.
